Quick And Easy Get Ready With Me #GRWM For Office And Mini Reviews: Featuring #Amazon #VaadiHerbals #Maybelline #Lakme #Coloressence #Garnier

So this is a very basic look I did for work, and trust me, even though I love makeup and all, I can't take more than 5 to 10 minutes to get ready. For starters, I don't have that much time to spend on makeup and getting ready, nor do I have the patience. So yes, all the products I have used will be mentioned below in detail, along with links from where you can buy them if you choose to do so :)

If you like the overall look or anything in particular, do read on, and thanks :)

Yes that's me...obviously you've seen me like this many times before, and here I am with the horrible zit that suddenly decides to grace me at the age of 35! Grrrr.... By the way, it was really horrible and painful, and I applied a plain white toothpaste last night to make it dry out, so today morning when I woke up, of course it was still there, but really dried out and no pain !!! Quick and effective home remedy isn't it? In this image, I have nothing on my face at all.

Products Used

I used a total of 7 products for the entire look, so here's a look at what I used.

  1. Lakme Compact in the shade Beige Honey
  2. Vaadi Herbals Lavender Anti-Ageing Massage Cream
  3. Maybelline New York Baby Lips Electro Pop in the flavour Fierce N Tangy
  4. Coloressence Aqua Makeup Base in the shade Pink LF-4
  5. Lakme Absolute Lip Pout Matte in the shade Pink Fantasy
  6. Maybelline Colossal Kajal
  7. Garnier Light Anti Dark Circle Roll On
Here's a look at the products in the order I used them:

1. Maybelline New York Baby Lips Electro Pop Fierce N Tangy

I absolutely love this one, the fragrance is too good and I love the taste of lime zest it leaves on my lips. I won't say this is the best lip balm for dry or chapped lips, at least not for me, but it is a close second to the Neutrogena one that I love.

Price INR 134

2. Vaadi Herbals Lavender Anti-Ageing Massage Cream

I love trying out face creams but this is definitely one of the best I have ever used. Not only is it really really kind on my skin, but the fact that it is lavender based is a sure winner. I love the relaxing fragrance, especially for a person like me who has sleep and headache issues, and this one takes care of all that, plus my dry skin. And yes, even though it says anti-ageing, which I am fine to use since I am 35 and have no qualms about, absolutely anyone could use it.

Price INR 149

3. Coloressence Aqua Makeup Base in the shade Pink LF-4

I got this as a review product and have loved it absolutely, especially as I have never tried something like this before. It is not at all heavy, and I loved the fact that just a tiny dot of the product is enough to give my face a boost of freshness. I don't like foundations, so this really helped :)

Price INR 180

4. Garnier Light Anti Dark Circle Roll On

I used this to add a tiny dot on the zit. Sorry but couldn't find the link online.

5. Lakme Compact in the shade Beige Honey

This is a repurchase, as I loved the Lakme Compact. It stays on for long without making the skin look dry or cakey, and takes care of any oiliness. Good for those with dry skin as well as oily skin.

Price INR 700

6. Maybelline Colossal Kajal Black

Okay, so I don't really need to say much about this, we all have used and used and used and loved this, at least I have. This is the one I wear all the time, as I only use kajal and not eyeliner.

7. Lakme Absolute Lip Pout Matte in the shade Pink Fantasy

I love the Lakme Absolute Lip Pout Matte series. My first purchase in this was the orange one called Tangerine Touch. This is one of the best matte pink shades I have ever tried, and it's creamy as well.

Price INR 487

And here's a little look at the complete look and the dress

Even though the dress is really pretty, let me just say that it is not for me :) As in, I didn't like myself in it. But it's a lovely and beautiful dress nonetheless.

Price INR 379 !!!!!

An old pair of tan boots I picked up from a store for about INR 700.

#LookOfTheDay Semi-Casual Weekend Meeting: What I Wore And Where To Shop, Featuring #Amazon Dress And #Nike Sports Shoes

image is my own, please do not use without asking - be nice :)

I know.... it definitely doesn't look like I am heading for a meeting, right? But what do you expect on a Saturday, especially if you're always the type who would want to make the best use of the weekend and also add in a party or get together with friends once the work is done?  ;)

You all know my love for black, so no surprise here that I chose to wear a #Blackdress to a meeting. But honestly, even though I love some amount of heels and my love for #boots is eternal, I also love my #sportshoes. So these bright fuschia pink pairs from #Nike

image is my own, please do not use without asking - be nice :)

I couldn't find the exact dress on Amazon, which is where I got this from, but here is the link to the closest match. The one I am wearing is turtle neck, has a bit of a sleeve and ends about mid-thigh. The one I am sharing here in the link is absolutely similar.

image is my own, please do not use without asking - be nice :)

I love these shoes! I mean, not only are they really reallyyyy comfortable, they are sooooo cool to look at (and you know what a vain creature I am, right?). So the fun part was that while people were checking out my tattoos a lot, they were actually also really really checking out my shoes, and some were even showing them to others..... fun ;)

I got mine from a Nike store near my place, but you can easily find them online as well. Here are a few links you may like to check out, if you're looking for some amazing shoes.

The first one in the links below is the one that I was contemplating - this and the pink I finally bought. Trust me, these also look really pretty...

I wore absolutely no accessories, but just my tattoos :) And yes, the dress had a belt attached to it, which gave it a nice snug fit, so I din't add anything. I paired it with my huge #bucketbag from #Promod and that's all.

Recent Haul And Items Sent By Brands, Featuring #Oriflame #Limeroad.Com And #Amazon.Com

So about three months back I got a few products online and was also sent a lovely package by Oriflame. As I was traveling a lot and was also facing some health issues, could not come up with the haul post earlier, so here I am now and let's see what all I got then....

Also, most products were purchases during the sale period, so I ended up saving big time...and yes, there was no just like that shopping, I really needed these so picked them up... just saying ;)

As you can see, the shopping I did was online, on two of my favourite sites, Limeroad.com for dresses and Amazon. In for some hair care and such. It is definitely established that these two are by far the best online sites for me, Amazon mainly for the books I keep buying and Limeroad for the dresses...

#Maybelline Clear Glow All In One Fairness #Compact Powder: Review

Some time back I finished my usual compact (sadly)!!! And when I went to get a new one, I was told it had been discontinued, much to my dismay.

Most of you may have already tried it out, but if you haven't done it yet, I suggest you take a look at the Maybelline ClearGlow All In One Fairness Compact Powder, I thought I would give it a try. I had already used the Maybelline BB Cream and it had felt quite nice on my skin. So I definitely wanted to give this new product a try. Also, the company recommends using this compact with the BB cream for best results.

#LakmeNineToFive Flawless MakeUp #LiquidFoundation Review

https://i.ytimg.com/vi/cB5lgyyI7Us/maxresdefault.jpg

I've tried on a few different foundations over the years (even though I don't wear them much, but that doesn't mean I don't try!) but have never really liked one much to stay loyal to it. Most foundations I used earlier would start to run the moment I stepped out in the sun, or at the first signs of sweat. Some foundations would be good half the day but would start chapping by the second half, or, even worse, start to oxidise!

One foundation that I did try and loved quite a lot (and am loving the entire #LakmeNineToFiveRange) is the Lakme Nine To Five Flawless Make Up Liquid Foundation. If you're looking for a foundation that is fresh and light, and will stay on the entire day without any cracks or signs of chapping.

Price:
INR 575/- for a bottle of 30 ml.

Available Shades:
The foundation comes in three different shades to suit different all Indian complexions, and the shades are Pearl, Brown and Shell, which will work for complexions ranging from fair, fair to wheatish and dusky.

Lakme claims that the foundation has a long-lasting formula that will neither streak nor smudge.

What You Will Like About The Lakme Nine To Five Flawless MakeUp Liquid Foundation

1. It is extremely light and will feel great on your skin, especially as you'll barely realise you're wearing any makeup.
2. The matte look is not something that will make your face look cakey, in fact, it will make your skin look fresh, without that uncomfortable shining effect.
3. It's also good for dry skin as it does keep the skin hydrated and supple throughout the day.
4. The formula works for a long hour, the entire day and even till late at night - I tried it out, wore it in the morning, spent an entire day, and it lasted well into the night (I'll do a test post on the same soon)
5. Works as a foundation as well as a concealer- I mostly use only a tiny bit and use it mainly as a concealer, and it works great.
6. Long lasting and waterproof, so no worries about streaking if you're caught in the rains, or are sweating. Perfect for me as Mumbai has only these two seasons - humid, when you sweat like mad, and rains.
7. Does not smudge or run with sweat.
8. The dispenser is especially good as you only need a pea-size amount of the product on your face.
9. Easy to carry and stylishly packaged.
10.Blends beautifully with the skin.

Everything about this product is great, except that it does not come with an SPF content and you may need to apply a sunscreen separately. But that is not so much of a bother, as the product is really good otherwise, and you can add a nice sunscreen underneath before you apply the foundation.

Keep In Mind While Using:
For those of you who have dry or mature skin, make sure you apply a good moisturiser before applying the foundation, as otherwise your skin may look patchy and dry. Also, applying moisturiser first and then using the foundation will make the skin look more even-toned.

I loved using the Lakme Nine To Five Flawless MakeUp Liquid Foundation and would absolutely recommend it.

Quick Makeup And Wellness Haul From Aplava.Com #SiteReview #ColorEssence #Revlon

*all images are clicked in natural light

Some weeks back, I noticed a new site name on various beauty and wellness channels - apparently, there is a new e-commerce site called Aplava.Com, where you can buy a range of beauty, wellness, care and many more products.

How Aplava Is Different From Other Beauty Sites
Before you think it's just another online shopping site, let me tell you that this is a beauty, wellness and care site with a difference, and I loved the concept quite a lot. So, as a user, you first need to register yourself, and when you do so, you will get a few info tabs where you can fill up your personal beauty details, such as your skin type, hair type, preferences, any skin issues you have, any type of product you specifically look for and more.

Specific Product Recommendations
The team has a group of professionals who will take your details into considerations and send you product recommendations based on your needs. As a result, you get something like a customized list of products that can help take care of your skin and hair and enhance your beauty, in a way that will ease your care woes and give you the look you want.

#LookOfTheDay Styling My Zebra Print Shirt From #UCB #UnitedColorsofBenetton

image is my own, please do not use without asking

Suddenly, everyone seems to be wearing the classic black and white print, and as always, I'm kind of smug and happy in the knowledge that hello, I have been wearing this combination for so long now ;) once a show off always a show off....right? ;)

So this was a sudden outfit I pulled on, not much of a brainer here really but one that cannot go wrong. It was for a quick hop and drink with a friend and I got ready in barely 10 minutes flat - 10 minutes including wearing clothes, combing my hair (which I rarely do) and putting on my lippie and kajal.

I absolutely love the shirt, especially as it's of really soft material, and I've been wearing it a lot and getting quite a lot of compliments too. You can also check out the Levi's 711 skinny jeans that I have paired the shirt with - for jeans, I wear nothing but Levi's and will absolutely recommend the brand (no, I'm not being sponsored, though I wish)  ;)

The jeans are the skinniest fit jeans from Levi's and the shirt as I mentioned is from United Colors of Benetton. The shoes are some local brand that I picked up at the Central Mall and the purple slip I'm wearing is again a local buy from some random store. The bag hahahaha is from street shopping in Malayasia ;) so me....

By the way it's been raining like elephants and hippos and blue whales here in Mumbai (and I love it) but I will still only be wearing my boots and my stylish shoes...no crocs or gum boots or chappals for me will do sorries....

I love the gorgeous lippie here...its from L'Oreal and is a stunning absolutely matte creamy red....pure red with cool blue undertones....and this is after I wore it for like three hours and drank and ate and had no touchups...naaice :) debo loves... you can see how much I love this lip colour coz I ended up posing just like that, to show off my lips....so me again! It's the L'Oreal Color Riche Matte 330 CocoRico

Oh and hey by the way, being the kind that I am who does not believe in spending much on such things yet always wants to look good and stylish and presentable, every single item was bought on huuuuuuuuge discounts....except the jeans which turned out to be a funny story, which I'll tell you later.....

My Morning Cup Of Tea By #EcoLife

Everyone who knows me knows that I just love my tea - whether it is the regular heavy ginger, some milk and no sugar Indian tea, or my green and calming teas such as chamomile and jasmine, I am an out and out tea lover (that reminds me I am soon going to share my review about two types of chamomile tea, one from #TeaTrails and the other from #TeaMe).

So when on a recent trip to the mall I spotted this cute green cup, I was really left with no choice but to pick it up.

As the cup already mentions, it is by a brand called Eco Life and it also comes with a wooden lid that you can use to cover this cup, or use as a coaster as well. Interesting.

I'm really loving having tea in this, especially my chamomile tea. It heats easily in the microwave and holds a good amount of tea, just the way I like.

It costs INR 199 and if you are like me, a tea or even a coffee person, maybe you would like to pick it up :)

cheerios...

My #LipstickStash: #Maybelline #Lakme #RimmelLondon #Revlon #L'Oreal #Oriflame #Avon #Amway #SilkyGirl And More

If you've been here earlier, you know my love for lippies is forever. So without really going into much detail, let's take a look at the ones I still have with me and am loving!

These are my latest purchase. The brand is Rimmel London and it is the first time I bought anything from them. In fact, the only reason I bought it was because I was flying back to India and still had international currency left. So, the funniest part is that I ended up buying them duty-free on the flight....lol! Not that I am complaining.

All the shades are gorgeous and super creamy and extremely pigmented. The only shade which I was really surprised to see was the one that is second from the left. It's almost like a white color when you wear it! Maybe it does suit some skin tones, but definitely not for Indian skin tones. I may use it for something, will keep you posted.

The shades are super gorgeous and super long-lasting....

This was my dream find in Malaysia on a recent trip. I tried out the lip color from the brand SilkyGirl one just like that, fell in love, bought it, and next day went back and picked up 4 more! The colors are absolutely gorgeous, with great pigmentation and soooo creamy. And the price, when converted to INR, is barely about 300-400 for each!

These come as big lip crayons with a retractable bottom.

The first four are moisture burst creamy shades while the last one is a matte yet creamy one. It was also the first one that I bought and fell in love with, before going back for the others.

These ones from Maybelline have been around for some time and I still absolutely use and love them.

Both the reds here are to die for....

I have become a huuuuuge fan of Lakme's 9 to 5 range and these are re-purchases.

The orange from Lakme's Absolute range was my first orange lip product and I sooo fell in love with it that I know I will buy it again..

The first one is a peachy nude shade, the second is a rose gold nude shade while the third is out and out matted orange...looks fab!

Again a very old lippie from Lakme Love and a very new one from Lakme Enrich Satin.

The first one is a rose gold nude shade while the second one is a burnt orange kind of shade. I got it as a gift from Amazon.

These three lippies from L'Oreal are my favourite too. The one on the left was my first purchase from L'Oreal, and trust me......allllll the girls have asked me what I am wearing on my lips, when I have it on.

Pink, red and orange, in that order.

The lip crayon was my very first that I tried and was sent to me by the brand Oriflame. The lipstick is also from the same brand and was sent to me by the brand.

The lipstick is a really pretty red shade that has amazing pigmentation and is very creamy. Plus it also gives a sheen effect to the lips. The lip crayon is in a nude shade and is great for everyday use. Very very creamy.

Colorbar is a brand I have started loving.

The fuschia lipstick was the first Colorbar product I tried, that too after I stole it from my mum. The jumbo pencil is a gorgeous deep dark red shade that again was a stealer! Everyone asks me what I am wearing. The lip pencil I purchased along with the jumbo pencil, but you can pretty much use it to fill in your lips and you'll be good to go.

My one and only purchase from the brand Faces till date. I loved the lip color but the only problem is that it is sooooo creamy that it gets difficult to use.

Two very old lipsticks from the Revlon Colorburst range.

The first one is a rose gold shade while the second is a bright pink. Both are beautifully pigmented and very creamy.

A very old purchase from the brand Avon.

It's a pretty plum shade and gives a soft feel.

My one and only purchase from the brand Amway.

Again, it's a beautiful plum shade and quite soft.

My lovely oranges - Lakme, Lakme and L'Oreal.

My many nudes - Maybelline, Maybelline, Lakme, Lakme, Silkygirl, Rimmel London, Rimmel London, Lakme, Revlon, Oriflame.

My gorgeous reds - Oriflame, Lakme, Silkygirl, Silkygirl, Colorbar, Revlon, Maybelline

My pretty pinks n plums - Revlon, Avon, Amway, Rimmel London, Maybelline, Colorbar, Silkygirl, Silkygirl, Faces, L'Oreal

The gorgeous burnt orange shade from Rimmel London
